The Rwanda Basketball Federation, known as FERWABA, is the principal authority on basketball in Rwanda, under the global oversight of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) since its inception in 1974. The federation is dedicated to the professionalization and development of basketball in Rwanda, aiming to make the country a hub for the sport in Africa. FERWABA's activities encompass a broad range, from organizing local and international competitions to capacity building for players, coaches, referees, sport doctors, and other basketball community members.
